when you are sendign a PM have a look down the bottom under "Miscellaneous options".

is the second tick box ticked "Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder."

also, under your Options in your Profile you should have a categroy called: Messaging & Notification

make sure the option to save a copy is ticked in there (its the last one in that section).
