    Hi,
I am looking for a laptop with a big screen, good usabilty. For example, I'd love one that had something similar to a mouse wheel for scrolling on the touch pad. Reliability very important. Don't want a hard disk failure. Performance important, as I am a software developer so would need high ram etc but I have no interest in gaming. Being able to connect to a wireless internet easily a must. Would like to also have built in speakers.

    Budget about 600. Any recommendations?

There's so many to choose from. So don't really know how to differentiate. Is it better to go with Dabs /Dell or what?

This is my first laptop, I usually use desktops but have had to sell it as we had no room for it. We don't mind if it is heavy as we won't be carrying it around we just need something that takes up less space than a desktop and can be put away.

    Thanks.
