Mobile Broadband Transferability

    I lost my mobile broadband modem with 3 so cancelled am getting another modem. I noticed that a higher spec modem, the Huawei E180 is €69 with Three but €39 with Meteor.

    Does anyone know if a Three broadband sim will work in the Meteor E180 modem or is it locked to Meteor like a mobile phone?

    The modems are generally locked.

    If you cancelled your contract you will need to purchase another modem as you cannot get a contract modem sim on it's own. The meteor one will be locked to meteor also

    the modem can be unlocked like a phone, get onto a phone un locker
