I was just wondering how this is done. I have around 45mm to play with, have sealed the windows with foam and taped around them.

What are the best methods of insulating around the windows?

    Cheers

I presume you mean internal. I used mastic to insulate the outside edges and then after that before the internal architrave went back on I stuffed the area with standard insulation packed in tightly. Not sure if this is the best way but I have no drafts and it appears to be working well.
