Laser is a uniquely Irish system. it won't work anywhere else.

If your card also has the Link symbol on it though then it will work in the majority of UK atm's.

    The sticky does however mention:
If your card has a Cirrus/Maestro/Mastercard symbol it will work in any ATM with either/all of those logos on it.

Maestro debit card functionality (i.e. paying for goods with the Maestro card) may not work everywhere, despite Maestro signs being displayed.

Does your Laser card have a Cirrus or Maestro logo anywhere on it? If so, it will work in an ATM displaying any of the above 3 symbols.

Should probably add the Link symbol to that list. Not sure if it always appears in combination with one of the other symbols or not on Irish cards, but I'm sure I've seen UK cards with only the Link symbol on.

My BOI Laser card works fine in the UK. Don't bother trying to use it in a shop though.
