When to join a band?? (rhythm Guitarist)

I am a rhythm guitarist self thought over the past 16 months or so and was wondering if anybody had any advice on when to join a band? how long should i be playing? how good should i be/what should i be able to do?? Thanks

Whatever about joining a band, but you should be jamming with others as soon as possible. As for if you are good enough to join a band now... only one way to find out. Answer a few posts here, go for an audition, and find out.
