can you claim benefits if your self employed but can't work due to injury?

    can you claim benefits if your self employed but can't work due to injury?

    state benefits. I broke my ankle the other day so cannot work for a while so no income, would I be able to claim some sort of state benfit for the duration?

    i think you will have to send sick certs to social welfare but you wont get paid and the health board(welfare officer) will pay you

    If you have very little in the way of assets, you may qualify for a Supplementary Allowance. Sorry, I don't know any more details, just that there is a possibility, an it's not JA/JB (since you're not available for work).

    Maybe call Citizens Information and see what they say.

    if you where self employed in 2008 then you wont qualify for illness benefit
    i would tell yea to get the mc1 forms off you doc and send them in then try the c.w.o

    Depends on your race,colour and country of origan. If you can get the right combination of these you can hit the jackpot here. free house, free money , free medical card,free car , cheap car insurance, free coal, free hairdoos etc etc. terms and conditions apply though. ask at your local HSE office.
