I am a qualified plumber and unemployed and would like any body that has done this course to let me know is this course worth doing? including exams? qualifications you get after passing exams?

How is the course run? and times its run?

I am fetac qualified but i think city and guilds/or diploma would be better?

There does not seem to be any orther course like this in the dublin/louth/meath area?

I'm in a part time course so I imagine the hours are similar. Mine runs on Tues, Wed & Thurs at 6:30-9:30PM. Exams go on at the same time as other exams in the college (second week of Jan, all starting at about 4PM, another set in May).

As for the qualification, usually it's best to get something from a college itself as it'll make you stand out more in your profession. Not sure on the course but it might steer you towards a better job, too. Friend of mine was an electrician, went to DIT to get his degree and is now getting a masters in order to go off with a company to become some sort of designer/planner type person rather then just working on sites.
