I'm with UTV Broadband (Caherdavin) for the past few years
but their download cap is 12 Gigs and I'm constantly getting cap alerts from them and subsequent charges every time I exceed the cap.

Is Smart or Vodafone reliable and better value?
Any good recommendations appreciated ...... even (gasp) maybe Eircom?

    John

Is Chorus available where you are?

I have SKY tv so I reckon getting Chorus would not make financial sense, would it?
I mean....can you get Chorus broadband without getting their cable tv?

Yeah, you can.You gotta pay an extra 6 euro though, but for example you could be getting 10mb broadband (soon to be 15 apparently ) for 38 yoyo a month

I have had Smart in Limerick for over 5 years, phone was out for one day in that time, one broadband outtage in that time.

Works out about 55 per month for all local and national calls and unlimited (well I have never hit my limit) 5 or 6 mb broadband. I would highly recommend them.

Another thumbs up for Smart here. Signed up before they even came online in Limerick and was signed over from Eircom the day Dooradoyle exchange went live. Currently paying €45 per month for a 5MB line and havent had one problem with them.
