I'm fed up being stuck in the house with the weather . I didn't get out for new years and I really want to go out tonight ,the problem is my friends are all abroad. If I go out on my own and start chatting up girls ,Ladies ,will I look strange ? , I'm not going into town just staying locally ?.

Cheers and Happy new year everybody,

It depends whether it's a town/village I guess and whether you know people there.
Personally, I wouldn't go up and introduce myself to a gang of girls that I don't know in a pub, that group would more than likely have gone on a night out together and then if a complete stranger comes up and tries to join in it might just look a bit weird to them IMHO

If I wanted to go out on my own I'd go to the local bar where I'd know a few people and I'd sort of "mingle" among the people in the pub, maybe say "Hey, how are things haven't seen you in ages" to a few people. I'd surely find someone to stick with before the night is out, and if I didn't I know the bar staff well enough to just sit at the bar on my own and talk to them!

The chances of me meeting someone I know is slim really .I have been there on my own 2 times already, when I had a few and I've had the best nights ever but it always started with friends or a different venue . By default I know some girl will start a convo cause it always happens, and it's a friendly enough place .I might wear a black jacket and people will think I'm a bouncer :D.
