    Hey everyone.....

....not sure how I landed myself in this position but in the toss up between spending money on a dj or the bar extension for my mates 30th bday we chose the extra drinking time ;)

So that leaves us/me to do the music, we'll be plugging into their PA system snd I reckon the best way to go is a few different playlists...easier to change stuff around if its not working

Need your help with suggestions for good alt/indie party tunes, especially some stuff to dance to and some music that will keep the non-indie metal heads and pop fans happy too

    Thanks!

    My suggestions...

    Poppy
A message to you - Specials
    Crazy in love - Beyonce
    I want u back - Jackson 5
    Hung up - Madonna
    Sex Machine - James Brown
    Stayin alive - Bee Gees

    Rocky
    All these things.. - Killers
I am the resurrection - Stone Roses
    Lose yourself - Eminem
    Sabotage - Beastie Boys
Take me out - Daft Punk

    Dancey
Do your thing - Basement Jaxx
One more time - Daft Punk
Over and Over - Hot Chip
    Superstylin - Groove Armada
    We come 1 - Faithless

Let me know if you need any more :)

One thing is, maybe you've a pal who'd be into putting the tunes on, rather than making playlists - you need to read the crowd and keep the floor full.

Edit- for the more alt/indie/metal heads, throw in a bit of RATM, Chilli Peppers, Modest Mouse, Kings of Leon, Guns n Roses, Queens of the Stone Age, Biffy Clyro, Vampire Weekend, Talking Heads etc..
Don't forget the Beatles and the Stones and you're sorted ;)
