Kona Smoke; the best value entry level commuter?

    This seems very good value. €230 for a fully built commuting bike from a reputable manufacturer. One to be recommended to the newbies perhaps? I know it's a bit heavy but think of the value... Linky

    I'm not a commuter but I really likey that Kona for the price and the job it has to do. A reputable brand as you mentioned and also not flash colour wise so as to reduce the risk of it being stolen! Can't see anything wrong with it as far as I'm concerned. Best of luck! ;)

    I'm not buying it H:B, I just stumbled across it. Could be recommended to newbies to help them avoid those dreadful BSOs. :)

    FWIW That link Linky (Rutlands cycles) charges 124 sterling to send a bike to Ireland.

    Feck! Still if you've family over there and they were taking a ferry back or whatever it'd be a cheap bike.
