Recovery winch

    Goin t get crackin on my wee recovery truck after xmas, need a winch for er preferably 8ton but more is good too, second hand and all complete and working would be good or can someone specify a cheap new one that is good enough for limited work? I see a few on ebay but could be utter rubbish i suppose. Oh ya and it needs to be electric not hyd.

    I used a Superwinch a good bit on our old recovery truck.

    It never failed on anything I wanted it to winch.

    Must look into superwinches so, what kinda money would a good sized one be i wonder?

    Yea the superwinches are good.

    We had a Superwinch Ep12.5 (12,500lbs pulling power) which was very powerful, which was more powerful then we needed.

    Theres a 16000lbs model but i'd say thats expensive
