Dead iphone (moved from Mobiles & PDAs forum)

    I'm not sure if anyone can help but before I send my iphone back to Apple (wherever that may be, shocking that they don't have a mac shop here) anyway, my iphone died yesterday. It was running low on battery so I tried charging it at a friends house with my new mobile power station thing. No joy, so I guessed that it (the power station thing) was out of juice. By the time I got home it was dead to the world, tried charging it ever way, different cables, different computers...nothing. I tried the reset, restore, nothing, it's dead. O2 say to send it back to apple which I guess I'll have to, but thought I'd check here first in case anyone has had the same problem. It's about 2 months old, 3gs bought at o2...very few extra apps added. Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for your replies. Nothing has worked, I had tried DFU with no joy either. It's totally dead as a door nail. The UPS/DHL guy is coming with a box! to take it away. Bummer to be without for 5 to 10 working days through no fault of my own though. C'est la vie.
