    You can if you have an account there but beware, the clearing time is much longer than with a bank. I think I was told 14 days the last time I lodged there :eek:

    I'm with AIB and lodge money in the post office all the time.
    But if it is 14 days as you say then I'll just go to the bank.

    You're mixing up Postbank (the bank that the Post Office operate) and the banking service they provide for AIB.

    I believe that AIB lodgements and withdrawals are cash only via your ATM card. I don't think they can deal with cheques into AIB accounts.
