Problem playing online mw2

    Im home from uni at present for the holidays and trying to play mw2 on our bt adsl at home and its almost impossible. I can't hit a single thing, i see enemies before they shoot at me, i shoot entire clip in them, nothing happens, watch the killcam and in their screen i barely shoot, they fire about 3 bullets and bang im dead.

    I consider myself quite good at mw2, when at uni on cable my connection is always 4 green bars, my k/d ratio was 2.4 and won almost every single game i played, i picked people off with accurate shooting (31%), at the minute at home its always 3 bars which i didn't think was that bad. Can this be making such a difference? Its doing my head in! Ive stopped trying to knife people in it as its pointless and have reverted to using spray and grenade launcher tactics.

    Ive tried plugging the ps3 directly into the router and it didn't make any difference.

    Any help much appreciated lads!

    is the nat type set to open or restricted?

    It's set to "moderate", does this have any bearing on my problem?

    try setting it to open in the firewall and see if it makes a difference.

    Pings of between 60 to 70 on relativily close dedcated speed test servers. So a ping of about 110 to 130ms to Ps3 clients. Against the host you could be looking at a .2 second advantage, other people close to .1 of a second. Thats a pretty long gap in a fps game.

    Lol P2P and the absolutely retarded matchmaking are the problem playing MW2 online.

    I go into MW1 and get a game instantly, yet in MW2 it takes ages to find a game (in NAT open) as it seems to have to scan through a bunch of games I will seemingly never get to play. It's pathetic that IW have actually regressed with the matchmaking this time around, 20k people playing TDM on PSN tonight and I found myself being thrown back into games I've left time after time, or lagging to f*ck.

    Considering the sheer amount of money made from it, and continually too with DLC, you'd think they'd throw up a few servers to play on.
