Anybody else feel like changing everything this time?

    Hi

I am new to Boards.ie, joining this is another thing I have done in order to try and change myself. I always feel like changing everything about myself at this time of year. I just want to be somebody else! I am throwing out my music collection, got rid of my facebook profile, got new clothes and hope to get more, and I am doing everything else to change myself. Everything I am feels so boring and useless, everything new feels right. Anybody else feel like this around the New Year? And if so, what are you doing to change?

Not really, mostly boring mainstream stuff. I was so completely lame last year it almost makes me sick.

I love me. Why would I change anything. My girlfriend tries to change little things but I am not cutting my hair or shaving so :p. I think it would be easier to adjust your outlook to be happy with yourself than to change everything about yourself. Cheaper too.

Perhaps change your underwear, it'd do a world of good.

If you feel the need to change yourself every year then you're probably only changing the superficialities and you may need to induce change on a deeper level in order to bring about true happiness.

Black is really hard to pull off, try it with a temp dye first! I accidentally dyed mine black once and it drove me crazy until it grew out

    Should've just shaved it.

    Should've just shaved it.
I have a weird shaped head, that's why I have any hair to begin with. Bald would be so much simpler.

Although it might be cold this time of year...

I'm going to watch more telly this year, didn't really get into programmes like 24, The Wire, Lost or any of those in the last few years.

Also going to look more into music outside mainstream and start watching more movies as well.

Also want to start reading more and do more excercise. I have to change my clothes as well, it's the new decade after all!

    got new clothes

Was going to ask if there was any of your old stuff going but black isn't really my colour.

Oh, existential crisis in the new year, how original!

OP, boards won't change you life it will rule you life.

Also, you don't need to change, just be able to fake who you are, works for me!

    Which hair??

Have you a rogue hair in the badge region:eek:

It wont work, you are what you are, so you will revert to been yourself.

People don't change their lives do but I am afraid you will be with yourself for the rest of it.

Its a temporary mood your in as a lot of us are at the beginning of a new year and decade.

Your hair, though, that means something for a woman, are you in a bad relationship?
