Clare band The CMC is looking for Bassist. We are a rock band consisting of a guitarist/vocalist, lead guitarist, sax/keyboard player and Drummer. We’ve played support to bands such as The Stunning, Delorentos and Aslan and had our own half hour special on Clare Fm’s Access All Irish show as well as numerous articles in The Clare People and Clare Champion. Most members are around the 21 year old mark. We play covers and our own original stuff and we regularly get booked for Pub gigs, Debs and Birthday parties mostly in Clare but also around Munster.
We get paid well for most gigs but we are looking for a Bass player who is dedicated to playing music and not just making money, someone who likes to have a laugh and doesn’t take things too seriously. We take things seriously when we have to but we play music to have fun and expect people interested in the gig to be motivated by the same reasons. Anyone interested doesn’t have to be from Clare/Limerick but living close by will be a big plus, as will having transport. We have demos at the following link www.myspace.com/thecmcband but keep in mind they are rough recordings made in a garage. We are looking to record in a professional studio in the coming months.
