It's that time of the year again folks, when those collectable hobby magazines are advertised. New hobby for the new year and all that kinda stuff.

This year's one being heavily promoted on RTE is 'only €1.99' for the first issue and €4.99 thereafter.

I can't recall at the moment the amount of issues you need to complete the set but I think it works out at about €600!!!!

For a fcuken crochet magazine set. WTF!!

People will buy it for 6 weeks and then forget about it. Same thing happens every year.

    1.50 :)

    Your not their target market.

But people advertise all the time, why should this bother you?

See that's what happens, they get you hooked on just 1.50 for your first time knowing full well that next month you'll need a hit, and after that your sending away for the fan club. ****ers.

That one caught my eye too - 120 issues dedicated to crotchet? At a total cost of just under €600? Madness! For that price you could buy multiple copies of every crotchet book on Amazon, including rare 1911 editions.
It's the same every year though - magazines dedicated to the most esoteric of hobbies that you know will rarely last beyond issue ten. I noticed they're a lot more popular though in France.
