I use a fluffy sock instead of a tanning mitt
Instead of wearing a strapless bra, I just tuck the straps into the bra ;)
The bra also is a handy pocket for money :P

    MOD EDIT: Sorted - ^^^ :)

The only one I use is hairspray on the soles of slippy shoes. Nail varnish on ladders about to form in tights too.

Also, just tucking in bra straps is a really good idea. My skin always gets really irritated by the kinda rubbery bits around the edges of strapless bras.

Putting vaseline on new heels/heels that rub your feet! Put a generous amount of vaseline onto the actual shoe itself and party the night away.. I cannot even begin to express how many times this has saved my feet :D Also even though I use primer before I do my makeup, I find a quick spray of hairspray really helps keep it in place!

i like my eyelashes to be thick and long and curled up,so i spray harispray onto the mascara wand before applying and they stay the way i like all night

Would that not totally irritate your eyes?

well it has never irritated mine, let the hairspray dry in bit before applying seems to do the job

Not a half bad idea... DEFO trying this one...

Apart from the usual 'back up' stuff in the purse like nail glue, eyelash glue etc...

When i'm going for a simple liquid eyeliner and mascara look with little or no eyeshadow, [like the picture example below] I sometimes put Vaseline on my eye lids instead of eyeshadow. Not too much, just enough to give a small sheen. Makes it look as though i'm wearing a skin coloured shadow but not so much that it looks like iv over done it, since this is such a simple look

Other tricks would be, if i'm wearing fake eye lashes, when im applying them I lob on a HUGE amount of glue so that im 110%sure they wont be coming off, rain hail or shine. Although the glue is white, no matter how much you lob on, it turns clear after a few minutes which is where a lot of woman [and indeed men] go wrong because they think the white will stay there. Don't be afraid to pile on the glue!!!!!!!!!

I don't have many tricks per say, cept the usual buzz but does anyone have tricks or tips for wearing high heels? Am one of these people who can only last an hour (sometimes less if theres walking involved) in heels on a night out and am quite short so id love to be able to wear them for longer. Iv tried the lil party feet things and they kinda work...but only kinda. Any tips?

    Alcohol!

I haven't tried this personally, but I've been told that rubbing alcohol in to the soles of your feet to numb them can make wearing high shoes much more bearable.

Yes, this really works. Also works with thong flipflops, many a holiday has been saved due to this trick!

Do not attempt this,... the same bad advice was gived to hillwalkers once. Whats happens is it hardens the outer skin allright, but the blisters still form under the hardend skin which is much worse and much more painful..

    i do that:o

also a little bit in the hollows of your collarbones makes them stand out a bit.
My friends seem to do this not sure if its beauty tip or not but makes your shoulder area look thinner i guess:confused:

Bronzer is great for that! If I'm wearing a top that's bare on the shoulders I'll push my shoulders forward, ya know that typical model pose, and put a light dusting bronzer on top and bottom of the bone, in the dents. Makes you look really defined. I like to call it painting myself skinny :D

    Edit! Snap Aisling!

Yup. You can use bronzer to fake cleavage quite nicely! Use it between your boobs and sweep upwards to the left and right (above your boobs) so you're creating subtle bronzed semi circles.
    Works a treat, I'm told!

    You can use bronzer and highlighter to fake cheekbones amazingly too - I use this trick myself ;

Suck your cheeks in. On the line that forms, along your cheekbone, use bronzer to define. (I put some on the apples of my cheeks too)
Use highlighter above the line ... Gives a nice finish :)

One I've heard but never used is to put Bonjela (for numbing babys gums when teething) on the balls of your feet to numb the pain - keep saying I should try it but have yet to get round to buying it!
