I have found after a bit of searching my Great grandfather on the 1911 Census where his occupation is listed as being a flax dresser in the strabane / lifford area. Information on what a flax dresser is seems limited - I was just wondering if anyone had any useful sites as regards what a flax dresser in the area would be…
