Hi. I'm just wondering does anybody know of any clubs that specialise in jumpstyle music?

If not does anybody know of any dance club type things that teach it also?

    Thanks for the help,
    Glen.

(If anybody is also interested could they get in touch as I'd like to meet some others.)

No, one piece of culture that we have thankfully not imported from Europe.

God, I'm sorry I forgot I'm not entitled to have an opinion.

I'm not quite sure to be honest. Never really got into 'Jumpstyle'. Your best bet is to ask in the 'Clubbing' forum on Boards.ie.

Never heard of jumpstyle before, and after watching a few videos it strikes me as a great way of keeping fit if nothing else. Pity about the music tho'.

And you can keep those type of opinions out of this forum, for two weeks at least.

A simple question was asked, if you don't have a simple answer for the OP then don't post, simple as.

I agree with you. Music is not the best baring in mind you can get the odd good song but it's fantastic in itself as a dance. Even learn it yourself and maybe do it to other music as I do.

I;ve seen a nuclear missile bunker in Germany full with about 1000 people dancing jump style. It was easily the stupidest most laughable thing I have ever seen.

Looks like great fun to me. If I was 30 years younger I might give it a go.
I think I'd do myself a mischief now though. :(

Most dancing is funny, sort of. Ever see Irish Dancing? Fair play to you Doyler, lots of people laughed at breakdancing when it came out! Go and set up the first Irish Jumpstyle night, start calling the clubs!!

I see where people are coming from on the funny said. You may be right. But if you have nothing good to say keep it to yourself.

And that's what I'm trying to do but just can't seem to get the interest.

Would anybody be even interested in learning?
If so drop me a PM.

I presume that is not directed at me?

Best of luck, if Mighty Muscles is correct, it's popular somewhere, it just might get popular here! I don't know how you would drum up interest to be honest, sorry.

seriously, why not just go to an irish dancing class? It looks very similiar.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,664 ✭✭✭Doyler92

No it's not directed at you, sorry if it came out that way. Although it is at others that when I be nice about a question, stupid comments is what I get back. Sorry if it came out like that.

Well I know the places it's popular and not like for instance I was asked to go jumpstyle in Belgium where it originated so I know all :)

And sure he may be right I'm just hoping people start taking a liking and that's my new goal - introduce jumpstyle to Ireland!

Yup, when posting YouTube vids you have to remove the gunk up to and including the first = bit.

This Jumpstyle thing looks like people are playing those computer dance games minus the mats or consoles.

Guys, stop acting the sack with the OP's choice of dance.

If you don't like it, grand just don't think you can post up sh*t about it and think your cool.

I'm not worried, tbh I'm the typical Irish man, ie I couldn't dance if my life depended on it.

I just didn't like the tone of some of the people posting here.

Detest it as a form of dance, i can appreciate the rythm aspect but hate the fact you basically smash your foot into the ground, your gonna get shin splits, but anyways in an ever so helpfull fashion i'm assuming your born in 92, ie 17-18, so i do see a group of jumpstyle people teenagers at central bank under the part thats jutting out, by the steps most saturdays.

Though maybe with the weather they ain't been out, but it's your best bet,

People have been telling me about this group alright. And that's the thing I would rather something that if I find time will definitely happen as they may not be there at times.

True, well the time i usually saw them was around 2pm on saturdays, maybe you'll see them by chance if you walking by
