Hi, I have read it24 leaflet on the Revenue website and it seems to imply that jobseeker benefit is schedule e income, does anyone know if this is correct or if they have seen it been assesd as schedulde e income? If it is not schedule e, is it taxed under schedule d and if so what case?

    Thanks.

    Hi

Jobseekers benefit is taxable as Schedule E income. The first €13 per week is not taxable. You are also entitled to the PAYE credit.

But if it is earned as a short term benefit ie working 3 days a week and two days on JB then it is NOT taxable.

    Regards
