Self-Employment (Ireland/UK)

Hi everyone, I have a few questions and was hoping someone on here might be able to help.

My partner has decided to go freelance, and it seems it'll be taking off as she has lots of jobs lined up for the new year. However, we aren't sure about the process for self-employment.

One of our concerns is that we currently live in Ireland, but we will be moving to England in July/Aug as I'll be starting a graduate course there. Also, whilst she is an EU national, I'm not. We were told in regards to immigration, that it would be better to set up the business in the UK.

Is it possible to still be in Ireland and set up the business in the UK? Most of her clients for Jan/Feb are UK and Australian based, with the exception of one Irish client. We don't want to set up in Ireland to just move everything to the UK in a few months time.

Any advice on this would be much appreciated. Thanks.
