    Hi,
Does anyone know of an Irish website that allows people to search for a travel/holiday friend? Basically a site catered for people who want to go on holidays but have nobody to go with as their friends are not available at the time. Would greatly appreciate some info. Thanks.

    Hi there,
Don't know of any Irish one, but if you try the following link (Lonely Planet Guide's Thorn Tree), where you plug in your destination and dates, then see who's interested.

The only drawback being you can't get to met them beforehand. But then again it may mean you get to go on holidays, and maybe come home with some really good memories and stories to tell.

Just in case you are thinking of going on holidays late Feb 2010, I'd be interested.
Am finishing a contract and who knows if and when the next job will come along, but a great chance to see somewhere new while I have the time.
Would be interested in Africa or Central America, but am open to suggestions, if timing suits.

Hope you get to go travelling! :)
