Marking golf balls

    Hi,

I got a golf ball markimg kit as an xmas present. Has anyone used these before? It stamps your initials on the ball. My query is this: it seems that you have to seal the stamp with a layer of what amounts to nail polish. Has this any effect on the flight of the ball? Surely it must effect the aerodynamics and balance of a spining ball?

unless you are a real low handicapper i doubt it would make much of a difference

If you look at most new balls you will probably see small flaws that could affect ball flight.

After a couple of holes the ball will be roughed up a bit so a bit of nail polish won't have any noticeable effect.

You could bring the polish with you in your bag & do the nails while waiting for that slow 4-ball in front :p

The effect it would have on the ball is as close as makes no difference to zero
