So is white flour just white flour? Lidls (until recently) were selling 2KG of white flour for 72c. I was in tescos today and they had tesco brand white flour and tesco brand "value" white flour.

What's the difference there (if any)? And more importantly, would you notice it in the flavour of your cooking? (versus, say, odlums cream flour)

I have used it extensively, it cooks away fine and I have not noticed any unusual traits.
I still use Odlums AA for making bread mainly because I can get it in 16kg bags which are handier than little bags.
