January 10th: Dublin to York

What's the cheapest and best way to get to and from York in one day, January 10th? I've to be in York by 2pm, leaving York 6/7pm.

Went to Ryanair and Aer Lingus and they're rip-off mercants! Must be a discount or voucher out there somewhere.

Last time I got a Ryanair to manchester, then a train to York, but this time the flights are way more expensive than last time!

I see a huge gap between Birmingham Airport and Birmingham Train Station

61 euro with Ryanair from Dub - Leeds / Bradford airport. Only thing is, it lands at 2:05pm, so that might be too late for you?

Yeah, that'd be the route I've taken every time I've went to York - not really sure you have many other options without renting a car.
