for all the guys out there....
just looking for your opinion on this... when i'm n the couch watching tv or relaxing else where i often have my hand down below feeling the little fella, its nothing sexual, in fact i duno why i even do it...
my girlfriend thinks its really weird but i reckon a lot of lads do it... even heard it being discussed on a radio show once :) .
so people is this something you do, or ladies is it something that annoys you?

Sometimes it's nice to reassure oneself of the fact that the Frank and Beans are still there.:D

You're weird if you don't do it.

As for masturbation, a wise man once said '90% of men masturbate. The other 10% are liers'

It's not masterbation it's comfort holding/touching some boy kids go through it like sucking thier thumb, some don't grow out of it and when mindlessly distracted they're hand will wander to hold thier penis absent mindly.

The most normal thing in the world. I reckon your bird is just jealous. Relax and enjoy it, horse!

PS: My bird gives out about it as well. She'll live!

    I'd presume that it's a comfort/reassurance thing.

However, I personally wouldn't like it if my partner was doing it all the time. I find it hard to understand why someone would want to be hanging onto their johnson most of the time.

As Earl would say to Randy "Wakey, wakey, hands off snakey"

Long and short of it - if your partner doesn't like it, then you might want to take her feelings into account and ease off on the johnson touching.

My OH does this all the time. Perfectly normal as long as he doesn't do it in company, i.e. with anyone other than me around.

Can't see why your OH would get wound up about it if you only do it when alone/with her and no one else. It's obviously just a comfort thing.

But it's nice, it's relaxing, it's harmless, and it makes us happy. If she loved him ...:)

I think it is a very low class action. The only people I see doing similar look like scum bags. My wife was training a group of footballers and she remarked that they were always touching themselves and couldn't believe how they didn't see anything wrong with it. I thought she was joking until I started working in the inner city and noticed guys wearing tracksuits constantly adjusting themselves.

It could be related to wearing track suits I guess but I see it like biting your nails and something an adult should be able to overcome.

and un-hygenic.... Do you just wander out then to the kitchen to make tea and make a sandwich afetr pulling your hands out of your pants?????

TBH, if my fella was at that it would put me off.... Its like something a 3 year old would do...

what are you on about?.. as i said in my posts above i dont do this in public... related to track suits ? lol...

as for fotballers.... if you played football at all you'll understand players fixing themselves so to speak, shorts can become wedged in certain uncomfortable places when sliding on the ground etc.... or do her players run around for minutes with there hands down their shorts :) ...

describing this as a class thing is redicolous imo...

In public, it does seem to be done a lot by young men in tracksuits in the inner city and 'disadvantaged' areas.

In the privacy of someone's front room it's a different story, but when done in public it seems quite anti-social to me and certainly a sign of some sort of 'lack'. I'm not talking about a quick adjustment of drawers in a bind.
It's about the same sort of thing as people who hawk up gobs of phlegm and spit on the street.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,739 ✭✭✭✭minidazzler

I do it when on my own, I dunno why, but I blame that kid who told me my willy would be robbed if I let go of it!! haha.

It's nothing to worry about TBH. It's not weird unless you can't stop.

OP it could be that you are stressed or worried or have something unresolved mulling through you head

its a nervous form of protection (self comforting) - like when people cover their faces,
personally I'd try break that habit

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,883 ✭✭✭shellyboo

It just sounds like a bad habit - nothing horrendous, but not something other people would want to be looking at, tbh. Like picking your nose or scratching your arse. Best done in private.

Since it upsets your GF, why not get an anti-stress ball? (almost golf-ball sized, often in blue)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 578 ✭✭✭Peggypeg

Have to say it would be a major turn off for me, along the lines of picking your nose really. It's just un-hygenic, do you wash your hands before touching other stuff? Seriously rude if done in front of other people, if your girlfriend doesn't like it why do it? You're just making her uncomfortable I'd say, imagine she kept picking her nose, would it bother you or would you say "it's natural"? Good manners are good manners and having your hand in your pants wouldn't be good manners would it really?
