Unsure if this has been posted already, but an interesting article appeared on scrum.com a couple of weeks ago. There is still some mention of the French salary cap's potentially major consequences on European rugby in a lot of the threads popping up here, but the article rubbishes this notion stating, among other things, that none of the Top 14 clubs have a annual wage bill above the €8 million they are now constrained by:
