Hey guys I need to replace my crank and im looking for advice.

    My Bike

Okay my bikes crank is a Shimano M443 Octalink 48/36/26.

Im looking on chainreactioncycles.com for a replacement and im not sure what to get.

Is it okay to get one with different measurements, and would it require me to get a large chain? eg 52/42/30

    Thanks

Don't know your bike but fitting a larger chainring will require you to raise the front derailleur. As for chain length, you may need an extra link or two, check it out with http://www.epicidiot.com/sports/chain_length_calculator.htm

They have Tiagra and a 105 Octalink triples going very cheap at the moment. I would probably go with the 105. This is presuming you want to change your ratios, if you wanted to keep what you have you need to look at the MTB cranksets.

As lescol says you will need a new chain - anything 9 speed will do, Shimano or KMC options. I would go for the KMC out of those two I reckon, it should come with a quick link which allows for easy on and off. Note you will still need a chain tool to shorten the chain when installing.
