Did anyone here apply for the graduate quantitative analyst role with AIB? Apparently they have decided they are not longer seeking a graduate and wish to require a more experienced candidate. Why do companies spend so long preparing to recruit for a particular position and then decide at the last minute that they require someone more experienced?

Am only guessing but I'd imagine because they are broke and don't want to waste time/money training a grad in? Am surprised they were looking for any grads recently.

Yeah I would also suspect that they realised in the current market, for the same money, they can grab someone with a few years experience.
