Saw this myself on the Philips website when researching options, but I haven't seen it for sale anywhere (in Ireland). Where did you see it?

Wexford, the shop only had the display model left, hoped to get a few more in this week.

Did you see that TV in an Expert store? Its meant to be an Expert exclusive TV and is exactly the same as the 32pfl7404H which has won awards in a couple of magazines, such as What Hifi, for best 32"!

Seems to be a very good TV and €599 is a good price for it! Although Id check how long the TV has been on display and where it was located i.e. was it in reach of children and their sticky fingers!

    Hi D/C,

They are very similar, but not exactly the same. One significant difference is that the 7694 plays AVI format as well as MP4. The speakers are also a bit more powerful. You can do a side-by-side comparison on the Philips website: http://tinyurl.com/yb5rzza

    Even better so,

Seems to be one of the best 32" about then!

would this be a decent option in that price bracket?

The 32PFL7404H didn't get a great review from AvForums. I was seriously considering this tv before reading it.

I'm now looking at the Sony KDL-32V5500 which seems to get a great writeup. Both tv's are nearly the exact same price.

Great thing about some of these Philips TVs is you can *get*... *cough* HD stuff off the net, stick it on yer USB stick and off yer go! Dont need no Blue Ray player!
I only have a 32pfl5604 and it works quite nicely!

    hi lads,

does this tv support the extern harddisc as well, besides the usb stick? Also, what would you guys recommend me? Doubting between this one from philips and the LCD by Siemens B650. That one supports the extern hd for sure, so I've been told.
What I don't know is whether they both support the titles in the avi's and the mpg's? Being a Dutchman and a moviefreak, this might be the most important thing which will make me decide..
    What's your opinion?

Thanks in advance for your feedback on this one!

    Cheers from The NL,

    Marko
