Anyone on here got their own mealworm farm?

I did some research after seeing Kess73 pics (last time I saw them a few months ago) of birds taking mealworms from his hand.

Looks easy enough. Plenty of tutorials on youtube etc.

    Anyone done/doing it?

It takes patience and you will have to wait for a few batches before you start getting mealworm in any numbers. It is a very slow process though, and getting from breeding up enough beetles to have a good start off breeding stock, to where you have a constant line of ready to hand mealworm is going to take maybe eight weeks.

You will also need a number of containers so that you can have different ones for the adult beetles, for the eggs, and one for the mealworm you are using for birdfood.

There are quite a few tutorials online about them, both in video format and a few in text/picture format.

Cheers, might give it a go over the summer and get it ready for next winter.
