Acne during period is a consequence of your hosmones levels changing - it can't be stopped without antibiotics or pills - I have tried everything.

Have a look at this website its really informative www.acne.org

    Hello OP,

I used to get this really badly but since sorting out my diet and getting pretty fit it's stopped. (And so have the I-just-want-to-curl-up-and-die stomach cramps).

I have a very vague theory about it due to my hormone levels changing as I have dropped quite a lot body fat - I'm now pretty lean and muscular, whilst I used to be a bit overweight and kind of soft!

Could also be that I started eating pretty well (lots of fresh fruit, lots of chicken/fish, lots of water, only complex carbs, v little junk) and I take evening primrose oil and cod liver oil supplements. And hardly ever drink alcohol any more and get lots of sleep. Sounds a complete yawn but it's worked for me  After a few months of this my skin just sorted itself out. And looks clearer and healthier and younger :p
I have tried different pills but none of them really suit me: just felt out of sorts/bloated/blah on most of them. Some people are just very sensitive to homone levels, so might be the same for you? In which case a 'natural'/maintainable solution would be best...
