Mariokart Online Issue

    Hi Folks,

I am new to this whole Wii world having just got a console at Christmas. Had no problems getting connected up to the wireless network at home and was online in a short time. Myself and the other half were sitting down last night playing Mariokart online versus people from around the world which was great fun I have to admit - even for a 34 year old!! The only problem was that every half hour or so an error message appeared saying "An error has occurred please remove disk and turn off your console" - we obviously done this and then turned it back on and logged back in normally with no issues - for another half hour or so when the same thing would happen again. Does anybody have any any idea what the issue could be here and how I would go about resolving it? Thanks in advance lads and lassies!:)

Does it give you an error code, along with the message? If you get one you can enter here on the nintendo website http://wiiportal.nintendo-europe.com/68.html and you will possibly get a solution if you don't I'm if you come back here some one will be able to help you. Also do all the other online features work perfectly? wii shop channel etc..?

Hi Niginator, thanks for your help. I am amazed that the lens on the Wii could be dirty already as it is only a week old but will get a can of compressed air and give it a go. It only seems to happen with MarioKart and only when I am playing online perfect with all other games....... and you are more than welcome to be my connection ambassador - just tell me how - pm me if you like!!

I know it seems mad but I suppose its possible that dust is causing the problem.
Anyway let me know how it goes and I'm about to Pm you about the Connection Ambassador Promotion.
