    Hey man
    Read this thread http://www.tdpri.com/forum/stratocaster-discussion-forum/104487-ok-so-i-promised-here-ya.html
and check out the 'tele home depot' section of the same site! There are some guys making some really unbelivable guitars! Check out ronkirn, preeb (makes THE bect pre-cbs fender clones), jwells and many others! Theres threads there discussing how to so it, parts, supplies everything! Its a great resource! Post a thread there when you start your build and guys will give you help and advice!
Check out stewmac.com for parts, body wood and everything! If you can afford it just buy a body blank from them but you can use any type of wood you want for a guitar! I have made ones from pine, Irish sycamore and am making one out of Irish Beech now! I started building at 15 so a not much younger than you! Its class being able to paly a guitar you made yourself! Its hard to get wood in ireland that is suitable for a guitar especially if you want a one piece body because alot of places dont stock dry timber that size!
Any other questions give me a shout but you should be able to find alot of it on the internet! Check out strahans and morgans for the timber, i have heard they are pretty good!
The one warning i have id that guitar building is addicitive and you wont be able to build just one! :P ha ha
