I have the above with a Intel® 7.1 channel High Definition Audio sound card. Is it possible to connect the digitla audio outputs from my xbox and playstation to the pc and play the sound through the pc speakers?

Doubt the PC has TOSLINK in, probably just TOSLINK out. If your PC has only stereo speakers, why even bother with digital?
