Does anybody know of the american online site that you can direct american orders to i.e. GAP etc. They provide a US address. They then post them to your home address.

A quick search pulled these back.

    http://www.ship2me.com/

Note, I've never used these sites and have no idea of how well they will work out but they are a starting point for you to search from.

Thanks for that. Next question - has anybody used this facility? It sounds great.

My brother uses My Cousin in America often enough. Uses PayPal and can be kinda fiddly in the sense that you are relying on them to get it right etc.

If you get them posted to Ireland (by anyone), do you not face the same issue you're trying to avoid: the payment of tax and duty when they arrive in Ireland?

Many websites won't actually ship outside of the US, this can be got around via these sites.
