    I think TG4's documentaries/historical productions/docu-dramas are some of the best TV at the moment. While many of the productions are based on scandal or hysterical news reporting of the time, they dtill try to reflect back on some 'hidden history' episode.

    Two recent programmes that stand out for me are obviously bloodthirsty ones. A fire at an temporary Cinema that caused a large amount of deaths in the 1930's and a second programme where there was a cover-up of a tragic death by the professionals of a small town.

    Just watched Scannal on R.T.E.1 about Nelson's pillar. Love the mix of Irish & English, and the whole style of the programme-they very rarely disappoint.
