There is another teaser, it has new footage...Parkman on the phone to Janice saying Sylars gone (from him i assume), then a shot of Mohinder in a padded cell strapped up in a straight jacket....i LOL'd at that.

    Tis a very brief scene.

    It's on tonight...right?, not the 11th?

13th and 14th were shown last night in America

Episode 13 was alright, seemed to have some story. Episode 14 was a bit of a drag, a lot of filler.
I noticed they didn't show any closeups of Nathan's wife at the funeral. Only a long shot with a veil.

Wasnt overly impressed with either episode, only scene i enjoyed was Samuel skining Sylar but even then it didnt really give the impression Samuel is all powerful.

Peter needs his powers back because he is a gimp.

I thought both eps. were VERY slow paced, much slower then how slow things have been all season, some scenes were overly long....the funeral for example, those eps. were kinda weird...very little arc progression. "hello cheerleader"....huh?, Sylar back to his series 1 vendetta?

... and the award for the WORST Irish accents ever committed to the small screen goes to ..... young Samuel and his brother.

Watched episode 13 and was very very slow paced , then i decided as i have done for a couple of seasons to watch the 14th episode BUT enough was enough i stopped watching half way through and will not be going back to heroes again !

Damn it, I didn't realise it was a double episode and watched 14 first.

I liked them! Didn't find them slow at all, but nice and steady. Samuel vs Sylar was very interesting. Claire made much more sense than she has of late. Big emphasis on Peter's empathy again: it's almost a power in itself. Bitta naked Sylar can't be a bad thing. Deaf girl's reappearance showed an interesting aspect of her power. Hiro was slightly annoying: shame they had to mindf*ck him again to weaken him. I wouldn't be surprised if he died soon :(

Upon This Rock was a pile of garbage. Ridiculously slow, destroyed my hopes for Emma's powers, totally convoluted way of finding a guy who can make grass grow (shít power), Hiro was a fúcking joke and it really píssed me off that they didn't learn their lesson from what they did by making him a blabbering idiot in Vol 3. The only redeemable part was the funeral.

Let It Bleed was better and worse at the same time. Peter's story was great, I reckon. Looking forward to seeing which direction he goes from here. Sylar, they've pretty much destroyed. Now he's a puppy dog who can't so much as kill Samuel (who is ridiculously less powerful when it comes to a fight). He could have snapped Samuel's neck with a gesture. Instead he waited while a bunch of swirling rocks hit him in the face. Bravo Sylar, you've lost the plot (or maybe the plot has lost you) and become a mere shadow of what you once were. Also, apparently Sylar's empathy is now practically as strong as Peter's once was? In vol 3, they made out like it was a real struggle for him to use that empathy (i.e. when he had to go through torture and torment in relating to Elle to take her power but then couldn't properly use it for a good while) but now its a kiss n'cuddle and BAM, draw on me with some ink so I can fly off and return to a storyline from 5 years ago. Excellent progression, chumps.

Old Heroes is dead and will never return, the show is now after being turned into a drama like Days of our lives or some other soap. I was actually enjoying this series and looking forward to the next half of the season but it seems to be turning into the Claire show again and the aspect of Heroes actually fighting evil seems to be the distant past.

What really summed it up was the talk of bringing West back into the show when his love story practically ruined series 2 when so much of their time was wasted with a nonsense story line. Up until these 2 episodes I thought Heroes had turned, now I don’t really know where it going. Samuel being the big plus this season but I don’t think the writers really know how to finish the show.

I will keep watching, because I've watched all other episodes but won't be recomending it to anyone, but then I might have a different perspective if I watch all episodes together

I was actually half thinking that Peter had his "Haitian power" on deliberately, to get Claire's blood to bring back Nathan.

That was just so Peter could get the flying power back.

Might just be me, but maybe that radio playing when Samuel with awful accent was trying to lift that rock was actually suppressing his powers.
Maybe violin girl Emma can suppress samuels power and he's not aware of that?

Oh and I was really, really, REALLY! expecting Peter to heal that bullet wound without coming contact into Clare. Ffs the writers are really dragging this whole empathy thing out.

These episodes were smelly, steaming, stinking turdfests. What the hell happened to the improvement that had taken place a few months back? This was like a return to seasons 2 and 3. The Hiro storyline was an utter joke with those needless comic book references. Just awful. Ando I find to be quite dislikeable now since they paired him with Hiro's sister. Part of his appeal was his hapless nature and the fact he couldn't find happiness. Now he's just a two-dimensional extra. Still that storyline was unacceptably atrocious. On next week's episode:

Hiro: "You have to help me, Aragorn."

    Hiro's sister: "What's he saying? I think he's sick."

Ando: "No wait. Aragorn is from Lord of the Rings. Hiro must want me to go check out his ring collection at home. Of course. It's another clue! I have to hurry!"

Utter tosh. Also had no idea what was going on with Peter and Claire trying to stop the crazy guy with the gun. Just filler garbage. It was like a bad episode of One Tree Hill. And how the hell can Peter fly if he can only acquire one power at a time? Or is he over that phase now?

Noah's storyline was boring and the dialogue terrible. What was that line? 'Honey tastes sweeter than vinegar' or something? Bloody hell. Sounded like something from a porn film. I thought she was going to go over and straddle Edgar and then beckon Noah over. You wouldn't put anything past these writers.

As for Sylar going after Claire again - yawn. That will really boost ratings. Oh but fret not it seems Claire's ex from Facebook is coming back now too and I can just imagine what we can expect from that. Let's see, I suppose Sylar will kidnap Claire or some bullsh*t and hold her hostage. Then we'll have a scene where she pouts and grimaces whilst he says some sarcastic lines about Nathan and talks about his new path. Then near the end Peter and Superboy will fly in and have a stand-off that will go nowhere and we'll finish with some schmaltzy romantic sub-plot bollocks that will be just as woeful as the last one was, except we'll have a lesbian thrown in for good measure.

Honestly I'm fast running out of patience with this show. Just when you think it's taking steps forward you encounter episodes like this which drag you right back to the bad days. I struggle to think of one character I actually give a toss about on this show. Even Samuel is losing his appeal.

If we get more episodes like this in future then I'm done with it.

Am I the only one so far that copped on that there's a time cut between Peter and Claire talking and Peter flying? Here's the breakdown.

Peter asks Claire if she'd mind giving West a call.

Off camera, Claire calls West and he buzzes over to meet Peter.

    Peter takes West's power.

West fúcks off, never to be seen on camera again.

Now, back on camera, Peter stands on a roof looking at a picture of himself and Nathan.

Peter flies away, using the power he's obtained, off camera, from West.

    Bada-bing.

^I love how people get all worked up about terrible writing when they simply can't figure out what's shown to them on the screen.

Seriously is this the way he got his power? What a load of rushed rubbish. I didn't think the episode could get lower.

    It wasn't shown on screen.

When you have to explain time cuts and off-camera antics it is a sign of terrible writing. We have always seen him acquiring powers in previous episodes yet we didn't in this one. That is an example of unbelievably lazy writing.

Peter used to possess several powers, then the next minute he could only have one at a time. Then in this episode he was seen with two powers. Bearing in mind these circumstances, an explanation could have been offered as opposed to expecting us to figure out stuff that we didn't see.

Then again maybe off camera there's a reason why Nathan's kids and his ex-wife didn't seem to be the slightest bit bothered about the guy's death.

In fairness, I think they made it pretty explicit. Peter goes "Could you give your friend who can fly a call for me please?" Later on, Peter's seen flying. Rational discourse would lead one to believe the rest of the action happened off camera like....

I don't agree. Within minutes he flew up in the sky and we had no sign of West coming on the scene or Peter going to see him.

The whole scene left me so bewildered that when I watched it I had to go to Wikipedia to make sense of it. According to that:
Later, Peter and Claire talk on a rooftop, where Peter promises Claire he won't go after Sylar for revenge. He then asks Claire if she is still in touch with her ex-boyfriend, who had the ability to fly. Later, Peter is shown flying off into the sky in honor of Nathan.

Now apparently we were supposed to connect the dots and understand that following the scene with Claire he had had an interaction with West and taken his power. However in this episode we also saw Peter acquire the ability to heal and use it to heal himself from his bullet wound. As a result, I couldn't make out if by healing himself he had restored himself to his previous condition (as in when he had multiple powers like the first season) or what was going on. Know what I mean?

As I say I find it quite lazy writing considering the complexity of his situation with his powers. I know it was late when I watched it but nonetheless I felt that whole issue could have been dealt with better. :)

Now I'm sorry, but if you can't connect the dots, then maybe heroes is a bit too high brow for you.

I'm sure Fair City will make this all explicit for you.

It's tough to connect dots that are so laughably all over the place. I think therefore I can be spared the punishment of Fair City. I stand by my view that they made a balls of explaining things properly. Here's some comments courtesy of a Google search on others confused as hell by the whole thing:
    The Bad:

The poor presentation of whether events are important or not. That may need some explaning: So, how did Peter fly? He clearly didn't get to West that quickly. So was it touching that photo? If so, that is a serious development, his first instance of not having to touch someone since he saved Nathan from the fire in 'Dual'. Yet nothing was said about it. Unbelievably frustrating
peter got the ability fgrom nathan's picture so it might get easier for him to get abilities rather than having to touch the person he needs a simple picture. Who knows..
OMG Its was actually peter that died and nathan just looks like peter thats how he flew.
No he took claires ex's flying power. How could that ever have been nathan since nathan can't shapeshift.
so peter took west power to fly at the end, or magically he had an empathic moment
I'm assuming Claire called West, West flew over and Peter took his power just so he could fly and have some memories of Nathan. Even though this was right after he said Claire's power was a good one to hold onto. I'm just really hoping he'll be able to get more powers soon. It was good to hear West's name again though, I liked him as a character in Season 2 and when he was helping out Rebel in the graphic novels.
That doesn't make sense. Peter would be surprised by the fact that he can fly. But he wasn't. I assume that it was emphatic. But still - he should have been surprised, unless we don't know about something.
What? I said that Claire probably called West like Peter asked her to, and West flew over and Peter took his ability. He didn't just get it out of nowhere. Honestly I have no idea how you think what I said didn't make sense.
how the hell peter flew away in the end???

last time i checked he had claire's powers.
Just as an explanation as people seem confused:

Peter flew away in the end because he had taken West's power. The reason we know this is because Peter asked Claire to call West. Presumably, this is Peter's way of grieving. It's not so surprising that he should give up Claire's regenerative power in this case, as flying would make him closer to Nathan emotionally and help him through his loss. Also, he can always visit Claire and regain the regenerative power if he wants, so it's not that much of a big deal.
I'm not sure if people really overlooked it - for my part, I "saw and heard" it, but expected that it might have some influence in the future, that Peter will run in West or something like that. Because he needed to touch West to get his power, I simply didn't thought in that direction and was confused myself, until I read your guys discussion. But of course that could have happened "outside camera" ;-) West could fly to him to give him the chance to take his power...
it's a tight squeeze, but the scenes are sequenced correctly so that sylar could have left the carnival, joined claire on the rooftop (disguised as peter), asked her to call west (in order to steal the flying power), and then hover like a stalker outside her window.

Clearly I'm not the only one who was baffled by the writer's attempt to explain Peter's second power in the episode.

I don't expect anything high brow from a show about people with abilities but I expect the audience to be able to at least follow the plot. It's not exactly the first time they have made a balls of developing a storyline coherently.

Well i knew Peter got his flying power from West, but i didn't know it was a tribute to Nathan, i just assumed he needed to get home in a hurry to feed the cat?

I thought it was fairly obvious, hence the jets paying tribute. Oh well, just me and nervous so lol.

I figured out the "call west so that i can fly thing" but its still poor writing.

Why would peter get rid of the healing power, far more useful.

Episodes were cack. After the previous episode I found myself actually curious about what was going to happen next for the first time in a while, but after waiting and watching I realised I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up.

    Good thread though.
