My mate dropped his JB pre WW40 3Gs iPhone on Saturday screen shattered, still under warranty, but not insured, do apple care have a facility to repair broken screens? If so will they update the bootrom and render no-tehtering required JB useless?

If not can anyone suggest somewhere that will repair broken screens in Dublin please?

    Thanks for your help.

I shattered my IPHONE 3GS screen over christmas, not insured. Apple quoted me €220 to fix and it would take up to two weeks!:eek::eek:

Got it done today in FM Mobiles on lower camden street, perfect! €70 and i had it back in half an hour! Well pleased with myself!:D

That's where my mate got his done too, good and quick, at €35 minimum for the screen alone on ebay without the tooling or adhesive strips an extra €35 to have someone else who has most likely done loads of them have it turned around in under an hour is a small price to pay.
