    Hi! All

My daughter is looking for a group of cyclists that train regularly, she is very keen but by all means still a bigginer.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Joining a local club is the best bet. There's a full list on the Cycling Ireland website. Depending on how old your daughter is, it's worth making enquiries on what kind of under-age set up they have as some clubs will be stronger than others in this respect.

At the moment Limerick CC train on Saturdays but would probaby be a bit much for a beginner, pushing on around 100km usually! Should be doing Sundays aswell sometime soon. What sort of level is she at, racing or just new to the sport? Member of a club yet? I know the Triathlon club meet on Sundays for a slightly shorter spin at a more leisurely pace but am yet to try it out for myself. Cycling Pursuits I believe have a training spin out in the Newcastlewest area if that is of any help to you. Please let me know if you want anymore info, I'm from Limerick myself as you've probably already guessed! Haha, cheers! :D

Hiya, yes she trained with Cycling Pursuits few times, but because of college has since moved to Limerick City, so NCW a bit far.

She doesn't want anything to serious like racing, she only cycles because she enjoys it and she misses it.

She would be happy meeting up with a bunch of other amateur cyclists.
