My 8gb creative zen v plus has finally given up working after about two years hardship so basically I have to get a new one and am looking for some advice.

Im thinking of finally switching to Ipod as accessries are easier to get but more importantly when it breaks (which after 1-2 years they inevitably do) all ill have to do is plug in my new one via usb and all my music should just sync automatically making it painless (I think)

Im thinking the new Ipod nano? But my worries would be would I have to buy a new wall charger too?my creative charger has all the different connections but they probably wouldnt work on an Ipod and also can anyone give me a heads up on where to get one for the cheapest price?thanks so much in advance :)

I would recommend iPod's every day of week, I've had my classic nearly two years and I have dropped the thing on every surface imaginable, it has dents for god sake and it's still working like a dream. The nano is even more reliable cause it uses flash memory,

Hers some pricing so you can get an idea.
8GB about E119 from Amazon with free delivery and E139 from Argos.
16GB about E144 from Amazon with free Delivery and E169 from Argos.

May I ask why you want a wall charger, wouldn't you just charge it off the computer or anything else that has a USB on it?

I'd also recommend the ipod. Got mine just about a year ago - before hand I was anti-ipod after hearing some horror stories with itunes. It's been my favourite mp3 player that I've used so far. The battery life is excellent, and there are so easy to use. They've a great interface and are nice and compact too. The only thing I don't like are the headphones that are provided, but that's usually the case when headphones are provided with any product.

I was never keen on itunes and the whole sync-ing business, so I use my ipod with winamp. This way there's no issues with different file types, I just drag and drop what I want onto my ipod and if I wanted to, I could just grab music off someone else's PC without having to worry about my files being replaced with theirs.

I bought my Classic when I was in the UK, so I got it fairly cheap. The wall charger isn't a problem either - you can charge it from your computer, or buy a cheap charger online.

Thanks for the advice and the pricing guide, kind of have my heart set on a nano anyway.

I would prefer a wall charger because I dont really spend that much time at/on a computer so its much handier for me to just leave it plugged in for a few hours in the evening or in the morning before work etc...

Thanks for the feedback though...really appreciate it

I'm looking at getting myself one aswell, but have a measly 80 euro to spend. Do not want a shuffle as I like having a screen.

Check out the Sansa Clip, http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=sansa+clip&x=0&y=0 nice little yoke. Very cheap for a good amount of memory and a screen. I think there on sale in Harvey Normans as well at the moment. Your right to stay away from the shuffle, I love my iPods but I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.
