Is there a pre programmed function for sinh/cosh on the Sharp EL-531VH model calculator?

See the "hyp" button? Press that, and either a list will come up with sinh, cosh and tanh; or you'll have to press sin, cos or tan after pushing it.

Bit o' trivia: If you ever find yourself using a calculator that doesn't have Hyperbolic functions, you can calculate them using the Exponential function:

    [latex]\displaystyle
    \sinh x = \frac{e^x - e^{-x}}{2}[/latex]

    [latex]\displaystyle
    \cosh x = \frac{e^{x} + e^{-x}}{2}[/latex]
    (x must be in Radians)

You are the type of what the age is searching for, and what it is afraid it has found. I am so glad that you have never done anything, never carved a statue, or painted a picture, or produced anything outside of yourself! Life has been your art. You have set yourself to music. Your days are your sonnets.
