As per thread title, I'm wondering if there is much ice or dangerous stuff on the N25 at the moment. I have to go from Waterford to Cork tomorrow so would like to know how safe it is out there. Thanks :)

    http://www.nra.ie/RoadWeatherInfo/Map/data/htm/WeatherTable.htm

This is reporting temps well above freezing on all measuring points in the region.

I don't know what the tomorrow will be like but I drove it Cristmas eve and from Dungarvan (my starting point) to Youghal Bridge was perfect. Waterford CC did a great job in gritting the roads. Hit the Youghal Bypass and it was like a different world. At the top of the bypass there was an Arctic truck travelling very slowy with his flashers on. I wasn't going too fast because I couldn't believe the difference in road conditions but when I braked I was barely able to stop the car (thank you ESP). From there to Cork Airport the roads were very bad. I have a friend who works in Cork CC and he said there was no money there to grit the roads as the money had run out. So my advice tomorrow is treat them as if they haven't been gritted.

Drove Waterford-Dungarvan earlier. It's +3 or 4 here, if not more.
