Teeth help

    Hi there,

I suffered from bulimia for the last number of years but thankfully with help i am in recovery at the moment. I also had chemotherapy and radiation therapy 2 years ago. Due to this and a general lack of care for my teeth they are in pretty bad shape, discolouration, number of back teeth missing on both sides, sensitivity etc.
I recently went to my dentist, it took alot of courage as i am so ashamed of the state of my teeth i find it hard to smile anymore.
Anyway she said she would send a referel letter to the dentist hospital as i would be a good case study for people. But this has been 2 months now and i have not heard anything.
I am getting down about the whole thing as my teeth are the final reminder of my past and i need to be able to smile again.
Are the waiting lists usually long, is there anything i can do in the mean-time? I am on the medical card. I am just confused and fed up at this point.

the waiting lists are usually pretty long, there's only 2 dental hospitals in the country and demand can be quite high. don't worry, when you get there the treatment you'll get should be among the best available in the country. you'll be fine.
