I have a few pairs of these and have been very happy with them in the cold, have done over 300km in them in winter.

They have been good in that area for me; I was out of clean bib tights and so had to go out in some Cannondale 3/4 lengths on the MTB yesterday (with leg warmers underneath!) but crotch and arse were FROZEN. Would have been fine in the Descente ones, so I reckon they are decent in that regard. But most winter tights that advertise warmness as a feature are pretty good with me. The Descente are probably the warmest I have for the weight of the material; they are relatively light and flexible but sill warm.

Also have a pair of Adidas Climaproof tights that are plenty warm, bit heavier material- would be a good bet if you could find them in your size on closeout.

Wiggle dhb stuff is also warm if not quite as comfortable (tends to bunch up behind the knee with me.) Good value though.
