I didn't think the injury is that bad at first, but it's unfortunate for Jones who showed some nice skills before he got hurt.

Well hurting your neck ligaments doesn't sound too good.

    That's terrible news.

Shortly after he came off, the Setanta commentator said he'd heard the injury wasn't too serious... I really hope it isn't, Jones is a superb prospect.

I remember him saying that, but that could have just meant that he was conscious and able to move or feel his fingers and so on.

Hope he takes as long as possible to recover. This is the kind of injury that can come back to haunt you, so its best to make sure he is fully recovered before he comes back.
Hopefull he doesn't need surgury, and to get well soon.

For this to happen to such a young and promising player is especially sad. Hope he has a quick recovery.

That;s tough on him, especially, when we heard he was supposed to be ok, I thought he was in with a chance to play against Ulster this week-end, poor guy.

Hope you make a speedy recovery.

According to The Examiner, the injury is expected to be long-term. :(
    That really sucks.

Off topic but Marcus Horan is expected to feature against the Scarlets next weekend. :)

That is horrible. It was a freak accident really. When they say that it's long term that really spells bad news.

Is this career ending I wonder? If not I wish him a speedy recovery. If it is there are no words to describe how low he must feel.

    I hope he pulls through

i thought i read in the independent that shaune payne thought it was ligament damage and so that it was not a long term injury.
i dont fully get the full implications of it but i hope he gets better
    poor lad

That's awful. As a Connacht supporter, I'm now looking at fixture whose only real outcome is a potentially career threatening injury to one of the most promising players in the country. What a waste. It was a jarring collision and he couldn't have picked a harder head to clash with in world rugby.

At least he's in good hands with the Munster medical team, didnt they also take their time bringing back POC and Sheahan from neck injuries previously?

    Fingers crossed for Jones anyway.

I think Shaun Payne said there wouldn't be any long-term damage and that he'll get better, it'll just take a while.

    *Bump*

    Any update on Jones yet?

Just what payne said regarding it being serious but no long term damage and that he would make a full recovery. he didnt mention a timeframe.
