Does anyone know where you can buy styrofoam cake dummies in Dublin?

not sure of your reasons for asking this, but if it is in the hope that it will be cheaper to get a dummy cake iced than a real one, from experience I found this not to be the case - the icing is the expensive bit, the cake is fairly cheap. We were offered the cake as a present but when we enquired about getting it iced it would have only saved us about €50. You don't really pay for the cake, but for the skill of icing it.

After having said all that, in the hope of being of some help (:p) here is a link to a place in sligo who will ship to Dublin. no pic with the dummy cake on the site, but you could give them an email or a call

or there is this on ebay

(underneath there are also uniced ones)

In Dublin you could try Kitchen Compliments or Cake Box in Dun Laoghare - though if you buy on the net from the Uk it would cost you the same, as this stuff is overpriced considerably here. The decorating of a dummy cake is not cheaper than the real cake(though certainly more convenient - you do not have to refregirate the dummies :) ) The icing and sugar flowers are the most expensive bits as the good result requires special skills, materials and experience. And it is time consuming as well.
